What is the main objective of Al-Queada?

Besides causing massive destruction by blowing up planes and buildings...etc, what is Al Queada's main, long term objective? Do they actually think they can overthrow the US Government or something...?

Kill all the infidels (Christians, Hindu's, Buddhists, Jews, atheists, etc etc etc). Their idea of perfection is a world without western ideas and morals. They want to erase Israel, America, and any nation which stands in their way.

Most delusional people believe they can win. Which shows how diluted they really are. In their mind God (Allah) wont let them lose. With people who have this mindset the only thing you can do is terminate them. There is no negotiating with them. They can not be reasoned with, or convinced. They don't fear death or feel a moral obligation to protect the innocent.

We will win this war by wiping them out. There is no other way.

The people needs to know why Al-Queada wants from the American government.Because,it is a long story that I urge every one follows the history of this group of people and why they behave as such.I am not any fan of anyone Al- Queada or the American government. I want my peace and I have children to feed and bills to pay as well as my taxes that I subsidize for the filty rich in America.So I have a hard life to cope everyday and lucky enough that I have the roof on my head that all The world outside U.S. think that we the American has it all,Remember you have to pay for and what price to live in this society and we are not different than Al-Queada only we did not fly our cars or planes to destroy innocent people who work several hours in order to make it in this country.Meanwhile people in Hollywood only less than 500 people who make it then.The portray from film industry colors our life style of the rich and famous.Every single day I see the homeless around and people who do not have jobs and health insurances.We are the same boat but the way we cope are different and not destructive as the Al-Queada.I urge the people to see both side of the issue before making any judgement.

It would've been nice had someone given at least a semi-educated answer.
The phrase Al-Qaeda literally means "the base" or "the foundation".
The group was established around 1979 after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Their goal wassimple: to fend off a Soviet invasion.
The groups conflict was primarily defensive, as opposed to how Hannity or Savage would put it.
And it is pretty darn hard to prove that it wasn't the Bush administration behind 9/11. It would seem convenient to have a group in conflict whom Americans don't know much about to put the blame on.
