It depends on what factors you consider as being more important at this stage of your career. Do you value high wages? Do you think you will be happier working at a very friendly place but get paid little for your efforts?
In my opinion, there will always be back stabbers no matter where you go. Office politics is ever present at any working environment. I believe that you might be worried about being dragged unwillingly into the dark side of office politics, or fear that you would end up being back stab by colleagues. There are many self-help books out there on how to deal with unfriendly working environment. I'm sure you can learn a lot by purchasing some of these books and read through them.
Keep in mind that a good boss is extremely hard to come by. I feel that you should not be afraid if you have a reasonable boss and the boss supports you. A good boss is also vital in helping you go places in your career.
Ultimately, the decision still rest with yourself.

I think that if you really enjoy the job that you're in, you should stay. But if this "logger-head" is making your job a miserable one, you should talk to your boss about it and see if change is available and if that isn't possible, you should leave. If you and your boss aren't friends, I think that you should become friends because you seem to like your boss. You can never have to many friends/contacts! :)
I hope this helps you.

If you need to socialise in the office and if that makes your world go round, just quit the job. No matter how good your boss is to you, or no matter how high the pay is, the people working around you will definitely affect the way you work. Your boss then might not be nice to you anymore.

no. how can u be sure that if you transfer to another company your new colleagues will be the type of people you wished you could be with..it's a matter of adjusting to you officemates..if they are realyy that bad..ignore them..what's important is that you are doing your job the right way and you don't do anything that harms anybody..
as the saying goes..let little problems fall like a drop of rain in your head..or..keep little heartaches to yourself..sometimes we cannot change the world but we can do something on how we view the world and the people around us..good luck!

Alot of people leave a company due to these reasons. Sometimes you just can't take it anymore, especially if you have to work closely with your colleagues on projects and stuff.
Leave, if your colleagues are really terrible. Why should we let others rule our life?

I wouldn't leave because of fellow workers; that's what your fellow workers want you to do. I would leave for other reasons - like better offer, job, pay, career, interests.
Good luck!

hmmmm.......... to me even if the pay is good or the boss is nice to me ...i'll juz leave... ask urself ...wat realli motivates u to go work? money is one thing but i'm sure workin colleagues plays a very big part.
If u dun even like ur workin environment u will feel dat every morning u r just dragging ur feet to work! u may not even feel like seeing them in the office. And slowly u'll start slackin and it'll affect ur work too!

If you can still take it, save more money before you leave. If you can't take it, actively search or train yourself for a new job.
