You really need a support network. It took awhile for a lot of us to come into the realization that our wives are our partners and not our property. I didn't think I was that bad but apparently my wife did. She left 14 years ago. I guess I learned too late. It is time for a good honest and open conversation with him. Chances are he doesn't realize how much this is affecting you. Show him some of these answers. He may think he is not being too possessive of you but you need to emphasize to him that if things don't change you could be making a big change. Have the courage to follow through. If the guy loves you, he will straighten up and realize you are an individual and not property. If he doesn't...well, you already said you could not breathe. Either way, you'll be breathing again. Good luck!

I guess you mean he controls everything you do.Did he do that before you got married or did it happen all of the sudden?Maybe you should remind him that he is your husband not your father. Unless he batters you and you are just real scared that anything you do will bring an butt-kicking, do what you want within reason, I mean you are a married woman and an adult.Lay down some rules for him and see how he likes that. If he does hit you,if you are scared of him, find a way out it won't get better, but it might get alot worse. Good Luck

Are you using a home computer. If so he may try to see what you been up to on here if he knows how. Read about Domestic Violence if possible, and seek counseling. It is usually free, but don't tell your husband. Here the Salvation Army has a Domestic Violence department. You don't have to be getting beat to be in that category. Control is another form of domestic violence.

Your husband is to st rick that he will not let you breath?? Is that what you are trying to say??
OMG, I hope not! But if so wait till he least expects it and the the heck out of there! If you have kids get them and go to the nearest Women's Shelter! But be sure to do this carefully so that you leave no clue as to where you went! You do not want him to find you! So matter of fact if you called the closest Women's Shelter they can advise you as to how to get started!
I sure hope I read this question wrong but if not please don't waste time, your life may be at stake!!!

Your husband is a control freak. Tell him that you feel like you're in prison and that he needs to give you more breathing room. Talk to him.

Did u did something wrong or unfaithful to him which makes him so strict?if yr answer is no, then find a public place (just in case if he hits you) and a heart to heart talk with him to find out the cause of his problem...

If he stop you from talking to guys or going out with guys, then it's ok. No guy would want their wives/gf communicating/going out with guys.
