hello.. why are sooo many people concerned about the age of people asking.....real questions ... ????

One reason is that if a person is underage they should not be given an answer more suited for an experienced adult, another is that decent people CARE whether they are advising a child or adult, so they ask for ages in order to form answers that are age appropriate. Still another good point is all the creeps who stalk kids using the internet. It's not always a matter of them being distrustful, but if you are underage, please, be careful.

Okay. Let me give an example: If you tell me you have acne, my suggestions for self-treatment might vary based on your age, gender and whether or not you might be pregnant.

Sometimes the person writing sounds like a young girl, but might be asking about high blood pressure. I need to know if she's asking for herself or her grandpa before I can give a sensible answer.

So, although it sounds nosy to ask, we can't see you or examine you so you have to tell us as much as you can if you really want your question answered in a way that will help you help yourself w/ alternative therapies.

If you don't want to be asked your age, fudge a little or say it's for someone else. Give as much info as you can: "I'm a 15 year old female w/ acne. It gets worse around my monthly cycle. I eat lots of healthy foods and avoid chocolate. I clean my face nightly w/ Noxema. Any suggestions?" That question genders answers instead of nosy questions. K? :-)

Responders want to give appropriate answers. Examples of questions requiring age of asker include questions relating to medicine, sex, relationships, etc.

While some people may just want to be rude, others are honest.
