He tried to give happiness to his sister.Police must've asked him a reason and if he had not any criminal record,they must not have done like this!!!!!!!

If the thief had struggled and tried to resist arrest and
got himself injured, then he got what he deserved.
But if the cops hit him even though he surrendered, the
cops ought to be punished instead.

If his sister comes to know the incident, even she will say, its ok about what has happened - even she will not feel pity for him. so dont worry about this incident. He got what he deserved - though bit harsh.

Nooo. Not a broken bone. I broke my leg a few weeks ago. Hurts like hell. A bruise or two is all...ouchies not a broken bone.
