Marriage is for life, it would not be something I would do on a whim I would try and past my emotions of how cute he is and think about seeing that face next to me for the rest of my life. I dated my husband for 2years it was the best 2 years but glad to say marriage is the bomb..... I would not trade it for being single never.

I don't see the point in waiting a long time to get married. If it's right, a person usually knows it pretty soon into the relationship. I wouldn't move in with someone. Dating for a while, a few months and really get to know the person. Then, after I get to know the real her THEN I ask the question. But she's gotta be 'the one', ya know?

Good question! I've known and been with my bf for 2 yrs and 8 months and he still doesn't show any signs of proposing! But I believe in order to get married I would have to know the person at least for 1 yr and a half! Good Luck.

Frankly, the longer you wait the better...better to wait and get to know one another than rush and be married and realize then that you maybe made a mistake. There's no reason to rush into marriage. You need to have your head on straight and get past that heat of passion that everyone feels at first and wait till it's a warm glow and then you know if you can make a lifetime commitment to that person.

I would say 3 years and living with a person. My bf proposed after 4 years

It depends on the person.
Some people are easy to read & you are instantly comfortable with them.But never the less,I would have to meet his family & know him for about a year,or year & a half.I would also have to know his personal habits,since we would be living under the same roof.Sorry! No more farting on my chest while I'm asleep or pulling the covers over my head!

I think it goes on what you feel. Time varies for people.
To my personal opinion, I think that I would wait a few years. I would live with the person maybe two or three years of knowing him too. But it all depends on the relationship.

I have in my mind 2 years minimum. This way you get to see them during each phase of the year twice, just incase they faked it the first year.
