I advise you to forget this idea. "Take precautions?" What precautions? What could possibly justify such a breech of your son's privacy?

Do you have any idea of Liberty? If so, why does it not apply to your son? Do all rights suddenly jump full-blown into existence on a person's 18th (or 21st) birthday? How can people learn to be trustworthy if they are lied to, spied upon, and treated as if they were prisoners in a concentration camp!

You really ought to be ashamed of yourself.

the first question i have for you is what lead you to feel you need to evesdrop on his conversation...i think maybe you should confront him with your insecure feelings...listening in on his phone conversations is only going to lead you into more trouble...because if by chance you do find something bad...your going to have to confront him about it and he is going to find out that your not being honest and respecting him...and why should he be honest and respect you back??? i feel that if you have a problem or a worry you should just talk to him truthfully and get answers that way...and if he doesn't wanna open up to you then monitor his whereabouts and maybe take the cell phone away for awhile...just remember if you don't show him respect then he won't show it back to you.....

stop being a pain and learn to trust ur son....
if he has to go the bad way he will anyways...even if u take a hell lotta precautions...
so be a good parent...trust your kid..and instill a sense of dignity and respect...and he should do just fine.
