Pregnancy, yes. Most heavy women have irregular periods making guessing at ovulation a shot in the dark. Staying pregnant (not miscarrying) may also be a problem depending on a person's size, pressure on the fetus, circulation to the fetus, etc. Childbirth, not really sure about increased problems there. High risk for blood pressure and diabetes while pregnant also.

Well, it depends on how obese you are. I am obese, but right on the border line. I have definetly had no problems getting pregnant! (On my 3rd time) But while in labor with my oldest, i wouldn't dialte and was already 2 weeks overdue. I was induced, they broke my water..the whole 9 yards. So, I had to have a c-section. With my 2nd one and this one coming in oct. I am having sceduled C-sections.

First off are you getting prenatal care. If not make sure that you do. There are a few things that can happen, But you must watch your blood pressure and your intake of sugar and salt. why you say to avoid diabetes, And high blood pressure other then that Just make sure that you are getting prenatal care that you will surely need. Now if you can not afford to see a regular doctor then please try Your public health clinic you should get all the help you need there.................one more thing make sure that you keep every appointment.

I don't know if they have a harder time with childbirth, but carrying the baby is harder I think b/c they already have extra weight straining their back and feet, much less the added baby belly.
