I've have watched the movie yesterday. Selecting such a theme for a movie with huge star cast is a bold step. But, karan, i personally feel that u have failed to convince it strongly. Two strong aspect stands out ; 1 - shankar-ehsaan-loy's music and 2 - BIg B' character. Hope karan will make a better movie next time.

WELL ITS REALITY , I HAVE NT SEEN THE MOVIE YET BUT FROM WHAT IVE READ THAT WHAT LIFE IS ABOUT. LOTS OF INDIANS STILL LIVE IN THE ORTHODOX WORLD. BUT THEN IN ALOT OF OTHER INDIANS EVEN LIVING IN INDIA THESE THINGS ARE HAPPENING. EVEN ABROAD, IVE SEEN SUCH THINGS HAPPENING. EVEN WORST. JUST HAVING AFFAIRS NOT BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE BUT BECAUSE THEY HAVE A PHYSICAL ATTRACTION BETWEEN EACH OTHER. NOT CARING THAT THEY ARE GRANDMOTHERS! THAS WHAT REALITY IS ALL ABOUT. THOSE MORALS THE OLD CULTURE IS STILL THERE BUT THEN PEOPLE JUST HIDE THERE TRUE FEELINGS DUE TO THE SOCIETY THEY LIVE IN. THEY OPPRESS THEMSELVES, . THERE ARE VERY FEW MARRIAGES LEFT THAT ARE REALLY BASED ON THE OLDEN DAYS. BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT PEOPLE DONT REALIZE THAT NO MATTER WHAT U PUT INTO A MARRIAGE ITS NEVER PERFECT. CAUSE POEPLE ARE NEVER PERFECT. THERE NEVER IS A PERFECT MARRIAGE! BUT WE JUST HAVE TO ACCCEPT THAT WITH MARRIAGE THERE ARE UPS AND DOWNS NO MATTER WHAT. IF U KEEP SWITCHING PARTNERS HAVING AFFIARS LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT ONE THEN THE OTHER ONE WILL DEFINITELY LOOK OR SEEM PERFECT TILL U LIVE WITH THEM AND REALIZE THAT IT WAS NOT BETTER THAN REAL MARRIAGE. THATS LIFE AND REALITY!

I saw the movie yesterday. Abhishek, amitab performed well. The movie was interesting up to the last one hour. But when SRK did sex with rani, that moment the film failed.
Its not indian culture and its not love.
Abhishek's and preity's performance at the time when they knew abt their spouse's extra marital affair was superb and really got applause.

firstly i donot believe that karan johar can think of such a subject.
it's true somewhere but i cannot assimilate such a notion in cinemas. it's up to you how you manage your marriage. if only the two were so unsatisfied with their spouses why was'nt it shown from the beginning. everything seemed to be fine. and does really years of staying together can so slipshodly be ignored.a disarray on the name of marriage. movies mould the future mindsets and if such unanticipated concepts are going to bee showcased by such 'conscientious, and so called 'ethical' people, god save what will the generation saunter towards?

It was embarassing to watch the movie like KANK. How Karan can present such sensitive issues in the society in such a disgusting manner. We loved and watched his previous movies even twice & thrice in theatres. But this movie has no ethics & values. We cannot watch this movies with our kids. It makes you sick You just cann't be out of SHOCK for at least 24 hrs. Such disguised movies should be banned and Karan should be ashamed of it.

it's a nice story, coz dis is wot happens in real life,be it in a relation or marriage, people hav becum so greedy dat dey are neva satisfied wit der own partners, dey do not accept d person whole heartedly, today if a girlfriend or Boyfriend isnt satisfied, woteva d case mayb,he/she is dumped for a better option,it's lyk a market place,no more of monopoly,it'd buyer's market now, very few people are loyal, here dey show Preity n Abhishek to be loyal, acceptin der partner's differences, dats true love.
The moral of the story, marry not for anything but exclusively for LOVE.

Its about love between individuals who have been married without having expreienced love and who r not so successful in their field. But they also do have passion and expect the right kind of expression of love. Even though they are not glamourous they do not want to live loveless with their spouse.

okay......... so the only thing good in the movie is Abhishek and rani. but i really did not expect the story to go thru so many phases. karan picked a good theme. its happening a lot society but he starts off showing priety to be mean and she turns to be good in the end............i mean it would have been better if he showed that all 4 realized their shortcomings and the reason their marriage broke. they did not hav eto get back together but would have made more sense.
