And if u still haven't solved ur skin problem, I am in the same friggin boat. I have a job interview on Monday. I don't think I'll find a cure by then. I've been searching for a cure since my teen years.

Proactiv worked for a while for me. Then it stopped working after 2 months or so.

a toner to balance out your ph. If you use something too strong it will send mix signals. ex. If you use a product to remove excess oil and it dries it out too much then it sends a signal that your skin is too dry and it will produce more oil making even more oil. Using a good toner should balance out your skins ph and make it more even. Also moisturize daily to protect your skin. Even if it is oily, a good moisturizer shouldnt effect that it will just protect it

I have oily skin and it will be that way till I am old I guess but what you can do is make sure you are using a good makeup that controls oil or at least doesn't contain oils. I use Bare Minerals. I also don't use a regular face lotion, I use an Oil of Olay daily regenerating serum (it is so silky). To control oil though the day I have to use Clean & Clear oil absorbing sheets. Just use them as often as needed because they work and don't mess up your makeup (blot with them, don't wipe). Then I will use my Physicians Formula Mineral Wear translucent powder to dust over my face, it helps absorb the oil a bit.

I guess also a daily moisturizer would work well. I would suggest bare minerals or an oil of olay product. I will place a link for a free trial of Olay Regenerist below. I like that a lot, I got my trial of it about 2 weeks ago and it really does seem to cut down on the excessive oil and gloosy look. I myself also have tried several different items over the years but to not the success I wanted, so I still look.

First, there is no cure for a skin type. all you can do is learn how to deal with it.
Secondly, in your job interview they will not be judging your skin type and beauty but your skills....whatever they are.
Finally, to deal with oily skin: you can use face masks: after washing your face in the morning with some soap of your choice apply lemon juice and leave for up to 10 min. Do it couple of times a week. Also, couple of times a week apply egg white as a mask. Same as lemon juice. All masks, avoid applying it on eye area and lips. Also, when putting on make up, finish by putting on powder. Better still, use powder based foundation.
Good luck with the interview!

You cannot "cure" oily skin. It's a genetic part of you. There are ways to help control oily skin. Try using the blotting papers before your interview...those work nicely to absorb the excess oil.

Actually the BEST thing for oily skin is using a moisturizer several times a day. Your skin becomes oily to protect itself from dehydration. If you provide rehydration, it stops being oily. Just wash your face a few times a day and IMMEDIATELY put on moisturizer.

Get blotters. This may sound gross. But the toilet seat covers in the public restroom are good for boltting oil off your face. Just take one with you cut it up and then you can blot your face throughout the day. Or you can go to Macys and buy then there.

OK, This will save your life.....Try the Blue corn 3 in 1 deep cleansing scrub mask from the body shop. Apply it to your whole face and wait about 10 mins., then wash it all off. It really works, try it! Use it once a week.

try not to touch your face that much. I have tried egg whites and it helped a little. maybe it might help you more. keep your hair pulled back from your face. it will cut back on the oily face a tad. i hope i have helped.
