I'm really picky with clothes too. But I just pick stuff I like. I listen to punk music but I wear whatever I like, I can find good stuff at JC Penny, Benjamins or even at Goodwill.. you would be surprised. Don't go for one style, just notice when someone wears say, a type of shirt or accessory you like, remember it and look for something similar. I like to try to make my own clothes too. You can get a certain type of printer paper and print pictures off the internet and iron them on your clothes. Try different stuff, have fun and good luck.

well im kinda in almost the same boat as you. i listen to everything from rap to country and my style of clothes doesnt fit any of them. i just wear what i like and listen to whatever im in the mood to listen to. so my answer.... i would say yes you just make your own style...;)

im the same way..i love alternative and rock...emo and punk...but im a totally girly-girl! i love bright colors and im very energetic so i so dont fit the typical genre of music...but who cares! its you and only you...you dont have to "fit-in", and besides its always better to stand out!!!

Be happy as you are! i am prep and listen to manson; you'd be suprised, the clothes you wear or the people you associate with shouldn't effect other aspects of your lifestyle!!

but wear a comfort ones.

do you think kurt cobain, jimmy paige, or jhonny marr, wattie buchan, jhonny rotten, bruce dickinson or even mick jagger and jimi hendrix wears black?
no they don't. but sure they're ROCKS!!
