It doesn't mean anything since fascism represents a movement to destroy all organizations of the working people in attempt to restabilize a government. Governments can be described as fascist not religions.

Have you every heard the term applied to Christian or Jewish fundamentalist? Nope. Mostly their called conservative.

Bush is using the term "Islamic fascists" to equate people who beleive in Islam and are tired of the US (and Israel) occupying their country(s) as violent, racist and fanatical.

It's a smear campaign to try and represent people who resist occupation as inherintly dangerous and crazy. He is also trying to demonize the religion by painting it all in one color.

Like every faith, Islam has all shades of practice from deeply conservative to very progressive.
