I'm curious everytime I watch the Price is Right...What do you think's going to happen to that show when Bob Barker finally retires? I hope they still have the show as I like to watch it. I think that Michael Burger (he's been the host of a few things in the past) would be a good replacement. Who do you think should replace Bob Barker when the time comes?

The show must go on.

And I think it will. The sponsors get a lot of notice from this show.

It will be hard to "replace" Bob, maybe they should consider a nice, easygoing female who is not well known to fill the spot. That way she wouldn' t come to the show with a lot of preconceived notions. At least give it a try.

I think when Bob Barker is gone, the show will be gone also. I love The Price Is Right, but Bob Barker is the show. No one can replace Bob.

It depends if there's still a demand for the show with or without Bob.

What about other game shows? Would Wheel of Fortune vanish if Pat Sajak decided to call it quits? Or what if Alex Trebek changed careers and Jeopardy had to search for a new host?

True, it would be hard to imagine a Price is Right without Bob. It can be done, however. It all depends if the ratings warrant it and if CBS is interested in carrying it on.

BTW, have you noticed that TV game shows have dwindled to only a handful over the past couple of decades? Seems daytime TV was full of them at one time. Nowadays you can count the ones still on the air on one hand (not including reruns of old shows on Game Show Network).

I am with you on watching that show. I love it. I have been watching it for at least 25 years. I do not know who they will get as Bob's replacement, but it will really be difficult. He has such a good sense of humor, quick wit, perfect English language, treats every contestant so well, and he is just a genuine good guy. I wish there were more personalities in the entertainment field like him.

Nobody should replace Barker but if it were to happen it should be Regis Philbin or Chuck Woolery. My favorite choice though it won't happen in Will Ferrell. That would be hilarious

I don't see him retiring. think he'll die before he retires. When he dies I don't think anyone should replace him. It would be an insult. I think the show needs to die with him. Maybe they could make a new price is right that is a variation but still....
