The answer is yes.
For this to work the male must be patient, take lots of time preparing his sweetheart. ( Ideally his wife) and then be able to have some degree of self control once they actually join.
With practice the man will control himself while the woman will have several of her own and she will tell him when she has approached the point for him to let go. Usually once she is that close she is just waiting for him and when he has it she loses it for her final one.

As long as no one puts too much pressure on the event it can be an amazing experience. That feeling of combining souls, breaths and beings. I wonder if it occurs as often with lovers that haven't been together for as long or are as emotionally connected?
