Though it is a very weird thing to say, I don't feel like going home sometimes due to various reasons.... I usually go home to sleep only. Do any of you have any idea how I can make going home interesting?

This is not an uncommon thing. Particularly in these times. Surprising, but true. My office had to enforce a rule that says that the employees HAVE to leave the office by 6.

Times have changed. As compared to the previous generations, today, people get jobs earlier on. And they usually go away from their home, family and friends to a comparatively new place to start their career. As a result, the friends that he gets at office get to be the closest community he has. So the workplace becomes a cultural centre. A coffeeshop where friends hang out, and in many cases, unify in joking about their bosses.

They even find unity in complaining about the 'long office hours'. Pretty ironic.

To top it all, many people, especially that comes away from home for their career, depends on the office for their internet activities. Online communities, blogs, chat, email, etc, are entwined in today's culture. These geography-independent resources tend to become unwitting soulmates for the modern staff.

This is yet another reason why people are motivated to stay behind. Of course, there are instances of people staying behind JUST do do more work. But workaholism hasn't really boomed significantly in any recent time. The other factors I have mentioned are the chief causes of the steep increase in employees' tendancy to remain in the office.

Going home can be made interesting in many ways. Organize parties. Arrange for fun things to do at your home. Round up colleagues to meet up at some place. Make friends with the neighbors. Maybe throw a party for them. Engage in community meetings and such activities where you can actually be involved.

Stage some friendly social entertainment parties at home with very close and trusted friends you enjoy being with. Speak on the home telephone with friends and develop a social life outside of your job. Decorate your home or apartment and keep it clean and fresh so it's appearance will welcome you every time you enter it. If you are lonely get a pet that thrives well alone and in the presence of humans. If you do not have a mate, you might consider dating some suitable and eligible single females for fun, friendship and future planning.

Yew kneed pussy.

Emotionally and psychologically, you are homeless, there is no lair for you to curl up in comfortably and relax.

Are you lounging around at the health club for hours, also?

Here's some advice: "stack" your social schedule so that you are doing things with other people at least 3 days a week. This will help "zero" your instruments.

You are going to be PROFOUNDLY UNHAPPY if you don't work on this problem of yours.

It really is up to you. Are you having difficulties with any of your relationships at home? What kinds of things do YOU like to do? I enjoy reading....so I have books at home. You have to have something at home that you enjoy spending time doing, or relaxing. Keep stuff just for you there. Also, it is normal if you are young to enjoy being with friends more, or dates.

New furnitures/decorations to make the home as nice and comfy as possible; having a pet, etc.

Or maybe you just have too much work to do at the office?

Well, give yourself something good to go home to. I look forward to coming home because of my two cats, they always make me feel so welcome and they're so happy to see me!

Another thing you can do is to take up a hobby that you can do at home. It could be anything from writing to art or furniture restoration, it's just something to enjoy so you'll want to go home.
