Of course they can. Whether or not they tell you about it or admit it is another story. I think it's all a matter of how in touch they are with their sexuality. If a straight man is sexually confident he will admit if another man is handsome. These also tend to be the guys who don't get all squeemish when a gay man speaks to them. I've heard plenty of guys say, "I don't know, I don't look at other men." And I've also heard plenty of guys that will point out a handsome man. My brother is blonde and very ditsy and he one day pointed out that Ed Harris (Stepmom & the Abyss) is "really good looking.... for an old guy." I was totally in agreement with him! To be honest with ya, men and women have more in common with each other than they have differences. It is more of a dilemma as to what society deems appropriate for men and women.

I think they all can and most are happy to say when a guy is ugly or not but some insecure straights won't because they think it makes them "gay" and they think that is a bad thing. They are wrong of course. You don't need to be sexually attracted to someone to notice if they are good looking or not. It's obvious.

only if they are not blind. of course they can. Just because a man can spot a good looking guy does not mean he is gay. People are far too paranoid about this stuff. Yes it is perfectly fine for a straight guy to notice if another guy is good looking.

Yes, men know the difference even if they don't feel it. The key is symmetry, for men and women. The ugly kid in scool gets picked on for no other reason and loses confidence.Without some compensating feature, he/she gets stuck in a vicious cycle that leaves him/her a lonely failure that dies young by self- destructive behavior.

ugly? yea sure! but cute, No! a straight guy can say for example,"oh he is dressed really nice, or I like his shoes, or he is a pretty good looking guy" that sort of thing sounds ok to me!

we sure can, but when we say cute we mean it in such a way as to suggest the cute one resembles a little boy rather than a man. like this: "youre a cute one. you shaving yet?" or "hey there cutie pie, got your hair permed i see". when we say ugly we mean ugly.

Well of course he can...beautiy is beauty, no matter who has it. There is a universal understanding of what beauty is..it is not nearly as arbitrary as you would think. Any man who says he cannot tell the difference is either blind, stupid, or lying. What is the big deal here....none.

Yes, of course they can, as much as straight girls do other girls and gay people do members of the opposite sex.
But straight men don't like to say anything about it in case people think - crime of crimes - that they might be gay! Eeek!
