For those that saw V for Vendetta, (if not dont read on) in the movie the British goverment labeled terrorists muslims etc. being responsible for some thousand deaths when it was really their own goverment.
How likely do you think this could happen in a Democracy like the united states, or parliamentry democracies (not African or Middle Eastern Nations)
I know its just a movie, but could you believe it?

I think it could definitely happen, which is why the movie was so good and so scary.
A lot of people think the US government had a hand in 9/11 - anywhere from planning it and doing all the work themselves to just knowing about the plan beforehand and doing nothing to stop it - and I'm not entirely sure they're wrong.

No, Govenments cannot keep secrets, too many leaks. Hell Clinton couldn't hide Monica, much less killing thousands of their own people
