Are they bigots?

i'm speaking of the people who put up Q & A saying that liberals are all sorts of bad things...from mis-guided to mentally ill.

I'm not talking about any issues, just the rhetoric.

I see a lot of Bush bashing by my side, but the attacks seem more than political by the Right...it feels personal...they still bash Clinton even 6 years later.

Yes. If you don't even consider anyone's opinion worth anything unless it agrees with yours, you're a bigot.

A pretty good portion of conservatives are indeed biggots, but one need not look at the tired old rhetoric of conservative poo talking. One just needs to look at all the other fine examples of biggotry shown to us by this group. Sexism, racism, homophobia. We "liberals" are strong enough to stand up to a pack of drooling moronic hateballs.

No they are not bigots, they are simply misinformed. They assume liberal means one thing when to those of us who are liberal know it means something else. They need someone to blame so they use liberals a scapegoats so they can feel better about themselves.
Not bigots just not willing to listen to anyone elses side.

I think that people who ask questions like that-- huge generalizations based on even huger stereotypes-- have too much spare time on their hands, and not enough brain power to put it to good use.

Anyone who does that kind of thing clearly doesn't care about the TRUE issues.

No we are not bigots. Our opinions simply disagree with yours. Our moral compass is simply more accurate than yours and our ability to reason and think analytically is more finely tuned.
