commercial flights - yes, look up Ansari X-Prize

colony on moon - not likely. Alhtough technically possible (even today), it will be very expensive and not all that useful.

You are asking the wrong question. This is not a technical problem. It's an economic question. From the technical point there is no problem. The human animal will not spent money on a commercial venture unless theree is profit. So when the time arises and ther is money to be made then this service will become available. It could be anytime within the next 100 years. This is reminiscent of the great age of exploration, when we got in tiny little boats and went around the world looking for new treasure.

I think it can be achieved, but it will be a very long time from now. I don't see something like that happening within the next 20 years...maybe the next 50....

You need a lot of budget to do that buddy. Whatever your opinion, the moon is not suitable place to stay. Your body will become weaker as the low gravity affect your mind. You may die.

No. They can't seen to maintain the quality for safety. It is only a source of employment for gov's people.
