No, I think the Brits did their job. The plotters were from Pakistan and the Brits have had them under surveillance since December. Britain has been dealing with terrorists (such as the IRA) for decades and are more experienced than we. The only problem is that we do not really have Homeland Security in this country and Bush will use the work of British intelligence for his own political gains.

You know, one of the worst things about this administration is that they have been involved in so much deception, secrecy, Machiavellian manipulation of the news, corrupt maneuvering of the government operations and reports, and downright tyrannical assumption of power, that they have turned most of us into suspicious cynics. We know the Bushies and their minions have been involved in global conspiracy for at least four generations. [See Phillips and Unger below.]
We know they lied to pursue office, lied and cheated to "prove" the election results were in their favor, lied about their opponents, lied about their business backgrounds, lied to Congress and the United Nations, and kept secret such ignonimious behavior as the inhumane treatment of prisoners of war, the detention of individuals with no proof of their guilt, the surveillance of millions of innocent Americans, and the president's numerous statements expressing his intention NOT to implement laws that he has just signed.
So why would they not minipulate timing the exposure of a terrorist plot to gain a political advantage. We don't know that they did it, and I suppose it's unlikely we ever will, given their stranglehold on investigative forces. But we know, without a doubt, that they would have if the occasion arose.
How sad that in what was once an open, free country, now we are beset by daily suspicions of conspiracies involving our highest elected officials!
How sad that this do-nothing Congress has undertaken no serious investigations of this administration's improper behaviors. I guess, it's not only a do-nothing Congress, but also a see-nothing, hear-nothing, say-nothing Congress.
God help us!

If Blair and Bush were really conspiring don't you think that by now they would have staged an attack in France, Germany or any other of the European countries that are not on our side? That would shock those who would believe that the terrorists only attack the "mean" Americans and their allies the Brits, Australians(Bali) and the Spaniards when they were on our side? Yet they are only attacking the US and allies. If I were to conspire I'd hit the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Coliseum in Rome to get more Europeans on board.

If that is the case, this would definitely not be the first time that they used some GREAT timing.... but that is if you go with all that Conspiracy Theory stuff... which is hard to prove.... so...
Yes. I think it is possible and every Government(even ours you crazy Patriots) has and does manipulate information by ******* with the content as well as strategically releasing the said 'information'. Just look at elections in our country. That's just to manipulate a smaller portion of the public..... think about the **** they must be doing to convince ALL of the public.
Man... scary.

No! The electorate contained in the Latin American international places the position Bush will be vacationing contained in the arrival days are going to provide him an earful over the unlawful conflict in Iraq! The warfare will under no circumstances get faraway from the recommendations of that incompetent fool! If Bush thinks his Latin American excursion could divert his interest from the mess he made in Iraq, he's too loopy to make that assumption!

Hezbollah fighters kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, when Israeli soldiers went to get them they were met with military style tactics and weapons. The Lebanese police didn’t arrest the kidnappers and they didn’t evacuate the citizens from a danger zone.
The Israelis were forced to try and get their soldiers back. When Israeli soldiers attempted this Hezbollah fighters used rockets and automatic weapons to keep the kidnapped soldiers. Several Israeli soldiers were killed in the attempt.
The wide spread fighting with the Hezbollah fighters makes them accessories to kidnapping and guilty of murder. The vast numbers of fighters should make this organized crime.
With the failure of the Lebanese police at both levels, the Israelis must do what is required to get their people returned. Military style tactics require military action to get this done. With the failure of the Lebanese police to get their people to safety, Israel can’t allow the citizens to deter them from bringing the criminals to justice.
Organized crime of this magnitude can’t be allowed to escape punishment. The Israelis must use any and all methods to bring organized crime to justice, the numbers of criminals and the firepower they have makes military action of any level to get the job done necessary. Hezbollah has a member holding the position of Speaker of the Parliament an elected position voted on by the Parliament. This must therefore be considered as a government sponsored action and any action by Israel needed to bring justice is warranted.
Hezbollah should have caught the kidnappers and sentenced them to justice. The failure of Hezbollah to capture the kidnappers and the killing of Israelis makes all the Hezbollah fighters accessories to kidnapping and guilty of murder. The shear level of the numbers of criminals, should have brought outside aide to Israel in the suppression of the Hezbollah organized crime criminals.
The failure of the worlds leaders is to their eternal shame, and that the whole world shall have to bear. Our world leaders have become cowards and not able to deal with a large organized crime syndicate. The Israelis are left to do what ever is required to bring all the criminals to justice.
Had this accrued in the US and Hezbollah hid in a neighborhood, then used rockets and automatic weapons on the same scale. The US military would level all the buildings occupied by Hezbollah and bring down the buildings with the criminals inside. As soon as the police had evacuated the citizens who were in danger.
Israel is doing no different, the law is the law and the organized crime syndicate known as Hezbollah must be brought to justice, no matter the cost. The law is clear and must be enforced.
