I'm 46 & still waiting to grow up.I went to a 25 year high school reunion and damn near crapped in my fruit of the looms. All these guys & gals I used to hang with made me sick driving their mini-vans & talking about mutual funds.I jumped on the harley, put "born to be wild" on the mp3 player & got the fu#k outta Dodge.I guess age is relative to the person. I still like my music loud & its not bcause i'm fuc%ing deaf either. You keep it real sweetie & rock on.

Could be logical, since they say 30 is the new 20 (I'm the 3-0).
I get told I look 25 (well, that's due to extra weight because before then, I could pass for 18-19).
It's great you still love to rock! My father still once in awhile listen to rap music at going on 62, and I consider myself lucky to have a dad that does that at his age.
It DEFINITLY important to feel good about our ages because there's only one way to stop the hands of time, and it's not worth it!
I actually feel better at 30 than 20.

I guess that really is the situation now, isn't it? Things change as time passes by. If you think about it, there a lot of beauty products, vitamins and others that make women look young even in their 40's. Besides that, people are more health-conscious nowadays. They are concerned on their weight, their wrinkles and other stuff. They do exercises, go on a diet and a lot more.

I think T-Ray and Arnorob agree with your opinion.
But...when I saw Christie Brinkley, age 51, in a magazine article about how age 50 is the new 40, she looked good, but OLDER.
Her ex-husband Peter Cook, age 47, though married to someone as beautiful as Ms. Brinkley (our much-loved uptown girl) still felt he had to sneak around with a young teen he met in a toy store.

It may be that our generation has, and every generation after us, a better grasp of how to keep ourselves looking and feeling healthy. I feel all of us have the power but most of us let ourselves go and we look older than we are.
Good for you! Age is just a number and its up to us decide if we will act older or younger than our true age.

I am 42, rock on, sister! My boyfriend is 31.........Maybe because we (not all) had kids later on? I had mine at 28 and 30. When you have teens, they keep you young (or maybe the opposite!) We'll have some stories to tell when we're 60!

Who's "they?" If you're 40, you're 40 (41 in your case), deal with it. Nothing wrong with being your age, and I bet you really do still rock and look good. Really young women really do think you're really old, but who cares what them little bimboes think?

I think so. These days body image is a big part of our lives. We spend our money on moisturizers, facials... the whole works. We also exercise allot more than what we did say 30 years ago.

Yes I agree with you. Mostly because your kids are raised and gone on their own {hopefully} and now you have time to spend the time on yourself, instead of trying to escape it all and lock yourself in the bathroom and taking a long hot bubble bath and escaping} Then sometimes we don`t want to admit that we are getting older and when we look in the mirror especially a magnifing mirror hold the mirror in your lap and bend your head down and look at yourself. I tried this and ohhhhh crap it scared the daylights out of me! Try it and be prepared......
