they put advertisment for money...
and the user are the ones that answer yahoo answers..

That is a really good question. You would thing that "Yahoo! Answers" would imply that it would be answers from yahoo... Quite the dilemma... It is true that its simply something set up by yahoo for people to visit, so they could capitalize on the advertising returns. But... in a way... I guess that yahoo is kinda answering. Think about it this way: we are using yahoo to answer peoples questions and to ask questions to be answered. And in doing so, yahoo is making advertising money. So, we are working for yahoo in a way... so its people working for and through yahoo that answer our questions. Sad. My question is, wheres my pay?

Companies that advertise anywhere pay money to do so. That should answer your question.
