There are reasons to be proud and reasons for concern.
So far India has been a successful democracy and has been a champion of democracy in the world.
But at the same time it has earned the image of a banana state, which even the failures like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Myanmar stares in the eyes occasionally.
It's achievements in education, health, internal security are also a cause of concern.
India is a successful democracy-although not very effective performer.

The present leadership does not inspire any enthusiasm in young generation. They themselves are slaves and running the government, not according to the wishes of the people, but one imported person. Indians love imported materials.
If the leadership is in such a slavery position, and has many criminals, in the government, how could it make progress.
No country would respect a country which has no self respect. And this is true with India.

In my opinion,I love Indian people and also love their food.Now people from India are taking my jobs such as H1B visa and outsourcing in which my government has to eliminate the quota.The American get hurt.Here is the info;200,000 visa for H1B this year and others about accounting,service representative,service for lawyer firms as well as medical record.India people are very nice and educated.Now help me how can I get jobs back for my people and there is no way that we can fly to India and set up our shop there.I have been told about the system takes so long and it is not going to help me and my people at all.

Worst form of anarchist democracy, though we ourselves 'window dress' as the largest democracy in the world.
In our democracy, the governance is by a dubious group of people for the betterment of a particular group of people at the cost and consequence of all the people.

It is doing quiet well, and it is a growing, glowing economy. Now if only they can keep the terrorist from destroy it too, it will be wonderful for all their people in the future and for the world.
