what is a good smtp server program that bypasses your isps port 25 filters

If you are on Windows, use IIS SMTP and change the port number.

On OS X, use SMTP server and make the changes to the config file.

Not sure what your setup is but you'll probably have to do some sort relaying of messages to your ISP servers and make changes to MX records. Kinda complicated.

The usual solution is to arrainge for SMTP service with a server at some other site, and use port 587 to submit your mail to that server. Some systems also support 465 for this, but that's a non-standard way of doing it.

Almost every single SMTP server program can be configured to listen for mail on 587 - even Microsoft's stuff can get this mostly right.
