G'day mate. Surely the best advice will come from your local garden supplies. Also consider the colour of the cloth. If it was me I would get 50% black or green shade cloth. You however need more specific advice for whatever your situation is.

A brand called Koolaroo is sold here in the States-- said to come from Aussie technology--I'm thinking you'll put the shade cloth outside of the windows where the plants are?? Item not advertized there? The ads sound really good......
