...about the new trend of companies
wanting you to email or fax your resume
to them, when they are hiring?

I would much rather put my resume
and personal references into the hand
of a prospective employer, and look them
in the eye, and shake their hand. Doing it
online allows you no way to stand out
as an individual..

The ads I see specifically say do not call, or come in person. They give you no chance at all, to be anything other than a black and white email just like all the other black and white emails. I don't like it at all.

I agree wholeheartedly with you....like so many other things these days, it's become to impersonal.

I agree. That is probably why there is also a shortage of really good customer service these days. When you drop off your resume, you get to meet and greet the employees that work there, and personally, I think it is a much better way to judge whether a prospective applicant would fit in well with your company. Someone may look great on paper but have no personality, or vice versa.

So many companies have changed and the only way you can apply is online. I don't like it. It's not personal. Many places now find employees online.

I LIKE THE E-MAILING AND FAXING OF RESUME'S IT'S EASIER YOU CAN STILL GET A EMPLOYER THAT YOU MEET IN PERSON THAT HAS A COLDNESS ABOUT THEM I THINK IF YOUR RESUME HAS WHAT IT TAKES IT SHOULD STAND OUT ON IT'S OWN REGARDLESS IN PERSON OR NOT. I JUST LIKE TO GET A E-MAIL BACK REGARDING DECISION

just do it in person, you have a better chance of getting a job that way. I agree with you. It's always more effective to apply in person.
