Your question is an example of the "false choice" logical fallacy. It says that a gay guy is either straight-acting or feminine-acting, which is quite simply not the case. There are bunches of shades of grey in there.
However, limited to your two options, I would definitely go for a guy who is definitely -not- manly (call that feminine if you like). Give me the sort of guy whom everyone would look at and label a twinky bottom. It always confuses people to see me and my boyfriend together, since they simply can't fathom that two twinky bottoms (as we appear to be) can possibly be a couple. We're versatile.
The dichotomy that LGBT individuals construct in our community (butch/femme, straight-acting/feminine-acting, etc.) is probably one of the worst things about our community. Such dichotomy of roles is for the traditional heterosexuals—aren't we supposed to be more enlightened than that? How about we stop looking at people and classifying them as type A or type B? Let's instead look at people and see them as what they are—people.
Sorry for all the stuff that isn't particularly related to your question... It just struck a nerve (and I talk a lot when it's late at night).

Personally I'm attracted to straight acting men. Love them masculine. Tops. I am in no way attracted to guys that think they are females. I do not like having feminine guys as friends, do not like hanging around them. All the ones I ever meet where materialistic, negative, judgemental people. They talk about eachother in a negative way and about everyone in a negative way. Most think that they are Gods gift to men! Do not want anything to do with them. I cannot stand people talking bad about anyone and judging the way others dress or act. So many will not have anything to talk about if they could not talk bad about others. Makes me sick... People are people and if being an individual is wrong, then I never want to be right.

I hate muscle bois -- well hate is the wrong word, I like them fine as friends. Slightly built and cute is my preference (runner look I guess?) I don't care at all if they are feminine or masculine. You could never tell that Jonathan was gay and we've been together 15 years -- but, if he hadn't liked me and another boy had -- and that boy had been feminine, but had loved me just as much and been just as loyal - we'd be together.
The masculinity quotient doesn't matter to me at all -- of course, I've been out since I was 14 at one level or another, so.... It isn't like its going to "give anything away" -- which is why I think some gay men are afraid to be seen with feminine bois -- they haven't come to total terms with their own sexuality. The ones who talk about not liking feminine boys even as friends are particularly far away from being happy folk in my opinion -- they really need some help. Those things just don't matter -- and they SURELY don't matter for friends, even if they do to someone for sexual love, because maybe they don't react to one type or the other. You don't have to react sexually to your friends.
Kind regards,
Reyn

I would have to say that I am more attracted to masculine acting men as opposed to feminine acting ones. That said, My partner can act pretty flamey at times, and I love him to death, so I guess it all depends on the guy's personality and appearance (i know it sounds shallow, but what can I say... just being honest)

okay, let's set the record straight. if you need to be anything ACTING, then you are just a phoney and should hang yourself immediately. I HATE that term "straight acting." In fact, I hate ALL the gay jargon: for example, spelling boy as "boi," bareback, c or uc, etc etc etc. DISGUSTING.
