There are simple steps that'll make things much better for you:-
1) Drink as much water as you can.
2)Wash your face with clean water at least 5-6 times a day (If possible luke warm), and once or twice with face wash. And then puff-dry with a soft-dry towel (Don't rinse dry it.)
3) Eat and drink whatever you please, but always be sure that you take enough water to neutralise the affect.
4) if possible drink a glass of orange/lime juice daily.

Hi...I feel ya...well, the best thing I have found is to not overdo your skincare...i have tried everything from proactive to the most expensive skin care products out there and nothing worked...For about 6 months I have been using Clinique foaming face cleanser to rid my skin of makeup, then I use plain (cheap) antibacterial soap, then, ocassionaly, use St. Ives Apricot scrub with Salycilic acid to exfoliate. For lotion I use Olay oil free face lotion with 15SPF and if a big pimple comes up I use Clean and Clear 10%Benzoyal Peroxide to treat. This sounds like a lot but I used to use sooo many creams and toners and it totally dried out my skin and made my pimples worse...the trick finding what product makes you feel like your skin is perfectly clean after you use it....not tight or still dry or dirty, but nice and clean....Good luck.

Ewww I totally feel for you. I am 23 and am having that problem. I never broke out until I got out of college and started working...stress=zits. Try a nice exfoliator (st.ives) and wash twice a day. Drink a lot of water and try to not touch your face at all. Also replace your makeup brushes frequently. Those are just some small things I try. I tried proactiv and it dried out my skin very badly and made it swell up (eeek!). But the repairing lotion helped clear me up. Another thing I try is a mud mask then I exfoliate after and moisturize so I dont dry out. Sounds like a lot of work. (it is : ( ).

Don't use anything that's too harsh; don't use anything like a cream cleanser that leaves a residue. Gel cleansers are good, the foaming type that rinses off; try one for sensitive skin. Toners are fine if they're gentle, but don't use harsh astringents that will irritate your skin and make it produce even more oil. Also try rubbing an ice cube on the pimples; it helps soothe them and shrink them. That was a tip I got from a facialist, years ago, and it works.

First of all it does not matter if you are male or female.
Pimples are caused by emotional distress... OK here's the deal. You have a first date and what happens:::::: you get butterflies in the stomach then pimples arrive... just like an old friend. Emotional stress or distress can cause lots of problems. No medical treatment can cure these problems.
The more emotional you are the pipples you get.
Of course diet can and will intensify this problem. but it will happen not matter what. only the intensity will vary.

I feel your pain. I'm 23 and I still have breakouts from time to time when I'm stressed. What has helped me are the Mary Kay products especially the moisturizer. I think I was overdrying my skin before which was leading to more breakouts, but my skin has really cleared since I started using the products 2 months ago.

Home remedy would be as follows:
* less of oily fried food - more of fibres salads/ sprouts...
*when washing face stretch cheeks by filling mouth with air as in blowing a balloon. this helps clean pores.
*use besan + milk +turmeric (very little) as face pack.
*relax and sleep well.
