Why the heck did they name that show "eve"? That show "Eve" with the girl rapper Eve. I think its totally dumb to name the show that, considering the character that Eve plays is named Shelly. Thats like naming the show Friends, "jennifer" or something. Does anyone but me think that is stupid? Using the main characters real name as the name of the show, instead of the name of her character or something else thats actually creative or smart?

Your right. But sometimes in those board rooms with all the creative ideas flying around, it just gets to be chaos. Pretty soon good ideas sound stupid, and bad ideas become the "wonderful" one. So there you have it. A bunch of creative minds...and they choose to do the simplest thing. Name it after the person. It is stupid...but then again, have you seen television lately? It ain't what you call smart TV.

Yep, I guess you are right! I have not really given it that much thought, but now that you mention it this has been going on for a long time! I mean look at the Cosby show for instants, It was called the "Cosby Show" But the character's name was Hecliff Huxtable! What the heck is that all about? And then later on Bill Cosby did another show and called it the same name??? And the only other actor/ actress that stared on that one with him was the lady that played his wife and it had nothing to do with the first Cosby Show!

It is odd and stupid. They used to do that when I was younger. The Mary Tyler Moore Show starred Mary Tyler Moore, of course, but she played a character named Mary Richards. The same with the Dick Van Dyke Show. His character was Rob Petrie. I didn't realize back then how odd that was.

Not so much stupid as it is unimaginative. In case you hadn't noticed, nothing on TV these days requires much imagination. Thus you have all the "reality" shows. Where is the imagination in that?
