Canine Companions for Independence is a non- profit organization that provides highly trained assitance dogs to those with disabilities. They have 5 different regional centers across the country. These dogs make people more independent in life and take the public's attention off their disability and focuses it on the dog. The dogs can perform tasks like turning on the light switch, picking up things off the ground, carrying things in their mouth, and even pulling someone in a wheelchair. What these dogs do is nothing short of amazing. Hope thats what you were looking for

If you are talking Canine companions for Independence just look it up under that name. It is located in Sonoma County Ca. in Santa Rosa. That should answer all your questions about the program and what it is about.
