If you have paid any attention at all to politics over the last couple of decades, you know that Republican politicians have spent an entire generation attacking liberals. However, unless you were paying close attention, you probably did not notice that those Republican politicians never bothered to actually define what a liberal is. They just attacked liberals, confident that the American people would follow along with their rhetorical sleight of hand, and not ask the question: "What is a liberal, anyway, and how come you spend so much time attacking them?"

Now, with the Republican Party in control of all three branches of the federal government, Americans are realizing how destructive the right wing Republican agenda is. So, Americans are beginning to question the partisan propaganda that has come from Republican politicians and their insider army of right wing political consultants. Americans are finally starting to ask themselves, "Am I one of those liberals that the Republicans keep talking about?"

Are you? Could you be an American liberal? The chances are pretty good that you are. After all, the Republicans say that everyone who doesn't agree with their radical right wing agenda is a liberal. They may have been considered liberal relative to the times, but to today's standards they were very conservative. I mean these were religious people that fought back instead of let themselves get oppressed and walked all over. Hardly anything today's liberal would ever do.

And hopefully, God willing, the rational, intelligent citizens of America will not allow todays liberals to sail our country down the river.

Today's liberals are unrecognizable when compared to the Founding Fathers. The Founding Fathers did not suport abortion. They, unlike today's liberals, were willing to fight for their country and freedom. They were NOT willing to appease and appologize to those who attacked them. Yes, today's liberals are "selling" America.... rather cheaply. If you dig into the Democratic Socialist USA, you will find that they do not think they owe allegiance to the USA, their loyalty is to their Party. They are known as the Progressive Caucus in Congress.... proud of their communist roots they are. And, DSUSA is part and parcel of the Democratic Party..... the sale is still on, Bush has joined it as chief auctioneer, selling out America to any illegal alien no matter how low the bid. clinton was the same.

Remember that the primary goals of the liberal movement are to "secure the blessings of Liberty", per the Constitution.

Those who don't approve of constitutional restraints on government seem to have a problem with that. But anyone willing to ignore the constitution, just because they don't like what it says, isn't someone who has American values at heart.

Absolutely not! The Neo-conservatives are the ones sailing this country down the river. If we're lucky, the moderates & liberals will be able to fix it, but they have an uphill battle ahead.

The definition of liberal has evolved over the years. Don't even think of comparing our founding fathers, who risked all and pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to gain freedom from England with the socialist anti-american scum defined by the term today.
