Do unto others, as you would like them to do unto you.
Track them down, and give it back. The reward comes from inside knowing you helped someone else and did the right thing. Plus you never know if you meet someone really special in the process. Glad you got everything back. Be well.

I was working at Subway in college, and some dude left his wallet behind. Do you know what I did? I just picked it up and put it under the cash register - never looked inside.
The next day my manager was waiting when I came in. Seems the owner came back for the wallet after my shift. As it turns out, there had been $3000.00 in the dude's wallet (apt rent money and book money). Holy Crap - I am glad that I didn't look - the temptation and melodrama amongst the workers and manager even would have been so extreme. It's better that it was a shocker when the dude completely freaked that his wallet was just sitting there under the cash register. He didn't leave a reward - too poor - I'm glad it worked out for him.
When I dropped a wad of cash and money order (bills and rent) on the sidewalk down in Ft. Lauderdale, thank god I realized and turned back to get it. There were about 6 people sitting in an out door cafe that saw me drop the stuff on the ground, but no one said a thing. I looked at each of them - all I received were blank stares back. Yikes!
Glad it worked out for you.

Well when I was younger some friends and I found a wallet with a ton of cash in it in the street and we kept it Im sorry to say. If it happened today I would make sure the owner had the items returned.

There are still good people in the world, lucky for you some of them found your stuff.
God Bless.

I would have done the same. Returning something that doesn't belong to me is a no brainer. Keeping it would be wrong and an insult to my God.

check for identification and contact the owner, because that is what i would want someone to do if i was the one that lost the wallet. besides it is the right thing to do.

Depends where - in the street, I'd take it to the police station - in a shop, to the front counter.
I agree...what goes around comes around and I'd hope others would do that for me!
