I have no idea how much I weigh now, cuz I don't own a scale anymore, but I'm not super-super obese (Thank God for that!!) I would like to lose the fat around my stomach and thighs, and I HATE sit-ups and crunches. I've modified my diet by eating smaller portions, and I walk about 2-3 times a week (I don't know how far, I just walk around my neighborhood, which has lots of hills). So far, this has not worked. I had a gym membership, but I didn't go very much, maybe once or twice a month (isn't that sad??) I'm planning on doing two things, one is getting that machine that simulates crunches, but you're off the floor, (it's advertised on an informercial, but I'm not buying it from TV, it costs too much that way), and other other is getting back on Nutri-System, which has worked for me before, when I was looking to get married and had a full-time job, so I could afford it then, plus, I was a lot younger. So, until I can afford these two things again, what would you suggest? Thank you.

Ok the 1st thing I would do if you cant buy a scale is go to target or wal-mart or something and just step onto one of theirs so you know how much you weigh. Next you should find out what your ideal weight is for your height/age/gender. Once you know how much you need to lose then just start eating only lean protien like chicken and nonstarchy veggis like broccoli. You will lose alot of weight by eating nothing but those foods.

I would say to continue walking, that does wonders. Drink lots of water and keep cutting back on the portions you eat. Also, eat your dinner/supper very early, like 5 or 6 and don't eat again until breakfast. I have started that and I can definitely tell a difference. If you can, walk every day or every other day for about an hour instead of 2 to 3 times a week, but if you can't than that is ok, at least you get to do that. When you walk, tighten your abs. I started that as well and it helps. I hope this helps ya. I wish you the best of luck.

You need intiative and not too much of it... get the gym membership back but don't try to do everything at once. Many girls say they don't go to the gym enough or they tried but don't lose weight... that's cos they don't get a good start. You should do only enough so you'll go back to the gym the next day. If it's tiring to take the trip to the gym then just go there and do a very little and come back with going back later on your mind. Also get yourself a work out program and don't feel shy to tell your instructor about what you can do and how you feel about some exercises and how they might make you look. Try going for a female instructor. Once you get started to make it to the gym regularly, you'll start doing more and more exercises... being fit is never a one-off thing... you got to first find something to like about it like how you improve and then you'll keep doing it forever.

In my opinion and experience, boiling baked and BBQ foods will also help. It will cut down the cholesterol and calories. For starters don't call it dieting call it starting your life over. It's not so much how much you eat it's what you eat. You are suppose to eat in moderation as well. Breakfast three hours later snack three hours later lunch three hours later snack three hours later dinner and no more after that. Pretty soon your metabolism picks up and your body tells you when you need to eat. Walking is a great way to burn calories but swimming and biking burn more.
Good luck in your endeavors.

Well...from my experience, cutting carbs really reduces the fat around stomach. Try eating less carb...not smaller portions
