People who have HIV can live for a long time just as long as they take their medication and keep a healthy lifestyle. It's only when it gets into the stages of AIDS that it is hard to survive.
There are new medications and procedures that make it possible to live with being HIV+, especially in developed countries.

He caught it early because of the many physical examinations pros are expected to take. Next, he was in peak physical condition when he contracted it. And Finally, as the others are saying, he can afford, both in time and money, to do the things necessary to keep it virus dormant. But I suspect, it will eventually get him and he will still die a lot sooner than if he didn't have HIV.

because it hasn't become aids yet. having the hiv virus does not mean you have aids, but are highly likely. I think there a certain cocktails of meds one takes.

He's on the best medications money can buy, also he stays in good shape. HIV just diminishes your immune system, it doesn't kill you. So if you can keep healthy, theoretically you can stay alive.
