Let a*b=c in a finite field. Prove one of a,b orc is a square.

blind_chameleon is perfectly correct. But
2 is the square of 1.414 (square root of two) and 3 is the square of 1.713 (square root of three).

So 2, 3 and 6 are not the squares of a natural number but can be of a rational or irrational number.

2 * 3 = 6

and none of them are squares.

So that, a*b = c , you cannot prove that one of them is a square.

This is called proof by exception.
