I j-walk because the cross lights in our town never seem to work.

Depends on the situation, but normally I go to the crosswalk like a good little girl.

cross at the light, cuz if I get hit by a car j-walking it's my fault.
no money for my injuries and I get a ticket.

I'm hardly ever in situations like that but sometimes I would j-walk.
