It is to do with the economics of war and also marketability of a sentiment. It is also coincidence of interest... at present US thinks that it can alienate all the Muslims for its domestic politics and Israel is certainly cashing on the mood to achieve its own interest.
But this is either short term speculation which would leave greater problems for them in the future or otherwise they are seeking to eliminate Muslims for good. The second option does not seem achievable to me unless I am not able to get into the mind of American and Jewish thinking.
See... I answered your question without abusing you... U would do well to do the same!

First of all, Israel is not in or attacking Jordan. Israel is attacking Hezbollah, a known terrorist organization, in Lebanon which is where Hezbollah is hiding.
Second, Israel purchased some of the weapons they are using from the US. And if they didn't buy them from us, they would have bought them from someone else.
Third, Israel is fighting doing the only rational thing it can by continuing to attack Hezbollah. Anything less is a victory for Hezbollah, because Hezbollah won't stop attacking Israel until someone makes them stop.
Israel asked the Lebanese government to stop Hezbollah. Lebanon refused. The UN asked the Lebanese government to stop Hezbollah. Lebanon refused. Israel asked the UN the get involved. The UN delayed and waffled. So Israel, in the face of thousands of rockets fired by Hezbollah at Israeli cities, did the only thing it could. It struck back at the terrorists.
And Israel must keep going, until Hezbollah is so badly hurt that they can't pose a threat ever again. Because anything less is a victory for Hezbollah.
For another perspective, read the real-life parable on the link below.

Yes Israel and the jewish lobby owns USA and it's government! Israel can commit mass genocide of children and women but it will always be seen as the victim! The killings will always be justified as Israel defending it self! eventhough Israel is the one using weapons of mass destruction on civilians! Bottom line the government of USA and the right wing movement will continue supporting the zionist Jews! There is no one powerful enough to help the screaming and dying civilians in the middle east and if someone fights on their behalf they are labled terrorists worldwide!

C'mon!!! I've already gotten 2 "Notices of Violation" from Yahoo trying to answer stuff like this!!!
At least Israel has the balls to do what America seems incapable of doing, that is killing terrorists. There will be no peace in the Middle East (or the world, for that matter) until each and every terrorist is exterminated.
PS: What's with all you terrorist apologists that think Islam is the victim here???
They are nothing but a bunch of Islamic terrorists who's professed goal is to kill every "infidel" on this planet, specifically Israelis and Americans. How can any rational thinking human being support this???
Stop being aggressively ignorant and stop believing that Islamic culture is a victim of OUR culture. Radical Islamism today is nothing but a new form of Nazism.

And Iran and Syria are supplying and training Hezbollah...the MUSLIM TERRORIST organization.
Hezbollah has THOUSANDS of rockets to fire at targets in Israel.
Fortunately for the Israelis and unfortunately for Hezbollah the rockets are not very accurate.
Hezbollah mission statement calls for the ANNIHILATION of Israel.
Or haven't you heard.....
Hezbollah would HAPPILY kill every man, woman, and child in Israel if they had the means.
And they would dance on the corpses of the six million dead Israelis.
Do a couple of web searches before talking out of your ***.
This is quote from your question
"Israel's ongoing slaughter of innocent civilians in Jordan "
JORDAN?
Or do you mean LEBANON?
Did another war break out while I was brewing my coffee??
LOL

Well we can back Israel, Syria,Iran,Iraq, or Lebanon, who do you think we will?. We want to invade Iran, so we need Israel to attack first, so we have a good reason to go in so the world can't judge us too badly ,as Cheney
said in 2005
"Given the fact that Iran has a stated policy that their objective is the destruction of Israel, the Israelis might well decide to act first, and let the rest of the world worry about cleaning up the diplomatic mess afterwards," Cheney said. In 1981, Israel sent warplanes to destroy Iraq's nuclear reactor.

Israel, last I heard, was defending itself against Hezbollah, funded by Iranians and based in Lebanon. Innocent people have been slaughtered on both sides because of the rage on both sides. I don't understand why so many people hate Israel so much. A better question might be, "Who started this war with Israel to begin with and why is it now Israel's fault for finishing what was started?"
Dude, you really have to get your facts straight!

Your question is misguided and irresponsible. Hate is not the answer to resolving polital and social problems. If the US doesn't support Isreal thousands of innocent people would be killed by faciast with improper ideology not much difference from what you portray. If I live in Isreal I would want my country to protect me and then once that's done fine resolution to the problem. The question you should be asking is why is the faciast such as hezbollah spreading hate and bringing war to any nation causing casualties on both sides supplied by a persian state. This instill fear not freedom. Best wish on this question. Seek to resolve and find common ground.

Jordan? Did I miss something, I thought the current conflict is in Lebanon. Also I thought today they US and French governments voted to support a cease fire and working on a peace plan. Furthermore, Israel's "slaughter" has not been unprovoked.

I think you are way off. Hezbollah is purposely targeting Israels civilians. Israel is only going after Hezbollah, which is deeply entrenched in Lebanon. They drop pamplets and give plenty of warning to the Lebonese before bombing. What else are they supposed to do about Hezbollah. If Hezbollah laid down their arms there would be peace now. If Israel tossed their weapons into the sea there would be another holacaust.
