The Tsar Bomba, a fusion weapon manufactured by the USSR, is generally considered the largest nuclear device ever made. Although potentially as large as 100 megatons, the largest ever tested (codenamed "Ivan") was somewhere around 50-60 megatons. The device was "tuned back" from its maximum yield to both reduce fallout and to allow the pilot the chance to escape the blast.
The bomb was large enough that the bomb bay doors on the Tu-95, the largest bomber in the Soviet inventory, could not close.
