Why is it that farts tend to smell much worse when you are soaking in a bath tub?

Partially dissolved bubbles, float with moisture , and tends to linger a bit longer, at a lower level, and gets more easily dissolved in the smell glands (already moist) in the nose, making the smell to be retained longer and deeper !

Because your fart is encapsulated in a bubble. When in the bath tub you are probably sitting down when you fart, so there is a good possibility the bubble might come up to your front and 'pops' right below your nose, making you smell your own very concentrated fart.

because a million- you're sitting acceptable above the source of the stink, which rises (and that is speeded up because it truly is a gas in water, so yea. growing swifter.) 2- you're literally not wearing clothing (i desire) or sitting on upholstry which could take up a number of the stink 3- you likely pay more effective interest once you're bathing
