"THE DARKNESS"- Its a not so popular superhero. He is like spawn that have somethin to do with HELL. He is Jackie Estacado(Franchetti Family (mafia)) by day and The Darknes by night. With The power of The Darkness, an ancient unholy power that allows him to create virtually anything, including living , sentient beings, out of darkness. However anything he creates will turn to dust upon exposure to light. HAHA!

I have several favorites. Spider-Man, Gambit, Cyclops, Quicksilver, Hulk... but I think the best superhero is probably Silver Surfer.
For all of you talking about Wolverine's adamantium covered skeleton, you should remember that it is not somethin inherent or even natural to him, it was given to him artificially. His skeleton is osseous just like anyone else's, except it's thicker and much harder to break, and it grows back, but the point is that it's far from indestructible. I actually prefer the adamantiumless version of Wolvie, but it seems to be just me. Then there's the fact that Wolverine is an assassin. I don't see how that can play in his favor, but whatever.
For all of you talking about Batman and how intelligent he is and the fact that he's human, I should remind you of Iron Man, who is also human and probably even more intelligent. I do prefer Batman over Iron Man any day though. I'm just pointing that out. And if you're just talking about his intelligence, then there're tons of other characters who are even more intelligent, although not necessarily in the same detective-like way. Reed Richards, Peter Parker, Henry "Hank" McCoy, Hank Pym, Robert Bruce Banner, etc..

Its a hard question. So many heroes have lost so much. Batman lost his family, Superman has so many conflicting feelings and just look at Hal Jordan(Green Lantern). A year ago I would say Robin Im a teen and I would like to follow Batman instead of be him. But then he lost his dad, his girlfriend and his best friend in such a short time span. I would want to replace Tim Drake as Robin once he has left and moved up.

Batman / Bruce Wayne has many charactersitics that most people suffer from today, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, bipolar, multiple personality disorder, etc. Yet due to the loss of his parents he's channeled his emotions into a persona that is strong and persuasive. Highly intelligent he manages to co-exist in an environement that cannot survive without him. As the storylines go on, Gotham is his city, and yet the criminals he battles continue to push for that mantle. They never leave Gotham....and neither will he. Co-habitants together, they really couldn't survive without eachother. In any case these traits appeal to a large audience, and like the humans we are, were drawn to those with problems such as our own. For someone with no super powers whatsoever, Batman remains one of our most popular "Superheros" today.

I'm a girl geek.
Wonder Woman has been there for me since early grade school (and I am NOT saying how long ago that was). She is still growing and changing and I still collect her comics. She's a bit naive, but she sees what is best in the world and I admire that.
(Oh, and dwc, she can kick Superman down the block too!)

I'm unhealthy. I'd want to be Wolverine so that I could heal. I'd have no concerns about getting bored during my old age either. I usually have way more that I'd like to do, than I ever have time for. Wolverine all the way man. I could eat and drink whatever I want and still feel great. Although... I'm not sure it'd ever get too comfortable having all that metal in me... Especially when the weather changes. :P

Superman or Batman.
Why? Superman has a very strong strength of character and Batman is very intelligent and a bit of a lone wolf. I can identify with both of them.

As much as i like Batman, I would always choose the Silver Surfer. His powers have no end but he lacks the willingness to use them. The power cosmic is as unforgiving as Nature is wild. For with it, he almost killed the Hulk. He is an alien who is isolated from the world he knew and the woman he loved. When Galactus trapped him on Earth, the Surfer learned what humanity was about. The people of Earth were frightened of him because he brought the destructive power of Galactus to them. With the help of the Fantastic Four, he was helped in changing Galactus verdict of destroying Earth. For this, he was banished to Earth by Galactus. The ultimate irony of the hero is that even though he is hated and feared by the people of Earth, he is willing to defend them. Even at the cost of his own life. He is like Quai Chang Kane of Kung-fu. He is Destined to walk the Earth alone, running from the enemies who chase him constantly and always in need of a friend.

I think it'll be Wolverine.
Bcos of his fast-recovery power, he can live longer than anyone else on the planet. He can gain all the experiences in the world without stopping, which will make him even stronger. Although this is the advantage but his mutant power is a curse to him.
