For Windows.
1. Click "Start"
2. Find "Control Panel" and click it.
3. On Category View of the Control Panel. You will find "Add or Remove Programs". It is third from the top of the left side. Click it. On Classic View of Control Panel, You will find the third icon which is "Add or Remove Programs" double click it".
4. In the "Add or Remove Programs" window there is a list of programs. The list is in alphebetical order. Yahoo! Instant Messenger should be listed near the bottom. Select it then click "Change/Remove". Follow the Un-installation Wizard to completely delete YIM.

Uninstalling Yahoo! Messenger from Windows
If you want to uninstall Yahoo! Messenger from your Windows computer, do the following:
First make sure to exit Yahoo! Messenger completely. If you don't the un-installation will fail.
Click the Start button next on your taskbar.
Select Settings and then Control Panel.
Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
Scroll down and double-click Yahoo! Messenger
Follow the instructions to remove Yahoo! Messenger from your computer.
If you get a message that the Messenger cannot be uninstalled, try first re-installing the Messenger, and then proceed again according to the above steps.
Note: The Java version of Yahoo! Messenger does not download or install to your computer, so it does not need to be uninstalled. When you close the Java Messenger window, it is fully erased from your computer.

On my computer I can go through the button that says Start, find Settings, and Click on Control Panel, and you will have a ton of things to see, find the one that says Add/Remove...and once u have clicked on that u will have a list of ALL programs that have been downloaded, find the one you want removed and click Remove....

On your computer go to START then click on SETTINGS then goto CONTROL PANEL. after that it should give u a icon that says add/remove programs, click on that and it will give you a list of all the programs when you scroll down to instant messenger clock on it and it will give you the option to REMOVE.

click the start button on the bottom left of your screeen
click my computer
In the blue margin top category which is system tasks click Add or Remove programs
you can figure it out from there

its really simple man!!!!. just click on the windows botton & go to control panel, there you will see an option of add/remove programs. after double clicking on it a new window will open, just select yahoo messenger and either say remove or add/remove.
your job is done.

ok, this is how you un-install.
start menu - control panel - add / remove programs. scroll untill you see yahoo messenger. then you hit the remove button on the right of the name, and it will remove it from your computer.

clikc on the short cut on your desktop u will see a message appear asking u if u wanna remove it from ur from your pc
u click on the words that is underline that take u straight to add or remove programs
there u click on yahoo messenger and click remove
