Ken Lay Bragged That Gore Had "Solicited" His Views On Global Warming.
"In an August 1997 memo by Mr. Lay to all Enron employees, the chairman said Mr. Clinton and Mr. Gore had 'solicited' his view on how to address the issue of global warning 'in advance of a climate treaty to be negotiated at an internationalconference.' That memo said Mr. Clinton agreed a market-based solution, such as
emissions trading, was the answer to reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere."(Jerry Seper, "Enron Gave Cash To Democrats, Sought Pact Help," The Washington Times,
January 16, 2002)
The Clinton-Gore Administration's Global Warming Agreement Would Have Helped Enron.
"The Clinton administration's interest in an international agreement to combat global warming also dovetailed with Enron's business plans. Enron officials envisioned the company at the center of a new trading system,in which industries worldwide could buy and sell credits to emit carbon dioxide as
part of a strategy to reduce greenhouse gases. Such a system would curtail the use of inefficient coal-fired power plants that emitted large amounts of carbon dioxide, while encouraging new investments in gas-fired plants and pipelines -- precisely Enron'sline of business." (Dan Morgan, "Enron Also Courted Democrats,"
The Washington Post, January 13, 2002)

The Earth has had ice ages, they were cooling periods, between them were warming periods. This has been going on for all of Earth’s 4 billion years. This all happened before any of the modern day came into being and will continue after we are gone.
The Earth is going through a pole shift right now. A pole shift is when the magnetic poles swap polarities. During pole shifts the magnetosphere is weaker and more of the Sun’s rays strike the Earth, this causes extra heating of the Earths surface, and makes global warming more pronounced.
These are natural cycles of the Earth. We puny stupid humans can no more stop or even reduce a natural cycle of the Earth, than the man in the moon. This is 9th grade science, and one would think that scientists and politicians would be better educated, but it seems that this not so, and they could remember 9th grade science class too.
This may just may be another smoke and mirrors propaganda campaign to cover our governments lies and con games. There are so many conspiracies running rampant it’s hard to tell which are real and which are just simple stupidity. The idea we can stop global warming IS stupidity at it’s highest form.

Read the book "State of Fear" by Michael Crighton. In it he researched the data used by the global warming people and found a lot wrong with the idea. Incidently he started out to write a book about global warming but found when he researched it that the premise was incorrect. The weather men can't even predict the weather and people want us to base national policy on something that hasn't been done long enough to know.
During the time of the dinosaurs it was much warmer than now and wetter, while during the ice age obvioulsy it was much colder. The earth has long term weather cycles that have been around for a long time.

i don't absolutely agree or absolutely disagree on the severity of "global warming"...because I'm not a climate scientist...I do think that the actual temperature rise in the last 100 years showing a steady increase in temperatures because many who keep records have the documentation...it is hard to deny facts.
Most neutral scientists do not discount that man may be damaging the environment and there by the weather. The guys who you saw in Congress were certainly asked by someone in Congress to speak to a committee...only Republican in congress have the power to establish and chair committees...The guys you saw weren't "our scientists",,,it is well known that the oil and other industries have teams of scientists whose job is to protect their employers position. the "official" view is political in nature...The President and his administration set their policy on how they will enforce regulations of emmissions as well as push for certain regualtions and most certainly portray their position very publicly.
Forget the official view. It's just political. Concentrate on the entire scientific community's work...I'm sure the most avid environmentalist doesn't have it 100% right, but the answer probably lies in the middle somewhere (some natural fluxuation with Man messing it up a little).
Wouldn't it be smart not to simply take a stand that only listens to what it wants to hear and allow yourself to be non-political about it. Just listen to both sides. If Man is most of the problem, wouldn't it be best if we tried to change our habits? To take the position that we could not be the problem is putting your head in the sand.
I'm not asking you to change your position, I am simply asking that you be open minded about change.

A team of international scientists also says that Creationism is true and that to teach otherwise would lead to certain doom. I'm sure they see a dearth of scientific evidence about global warming; it's hard to see evidence when your head is up your ***.

No, your post is simply a lie. All climate scientists agree that global warming is real, and that humans are the cause. Just because Exxon pays a few people who went to Community College to pretend to be scientists who read from the Exxon script doesn't make the debate real.
You might as well debate the existance of gravity.
