Do not use nail polish remover it ruins the quality of the polish. Today's nail polishes contain extra ingredients that strengthen, etc., and by adding the remover it could make your polish chip and peel off. Use nail polish thinner. If worse comes to worse, you can add CLEAR nail polish to it to thin it out. Also, when you open a fresh bottle, make sure you leave no nail polish on the rim. You can put a thin layer of petroleum jelly on the rim to keep this from happening. Storing it in fridge can also prolong the life of it.

I learned that you can add either a little dose of nail polish remover to break down the glob or add a little clear nail polish. I tried both and both are fairly effective.
