Legion of Superheroes was one of my favorite comics as a kid. I would like to see it made into a movie. It had so many cool characters.

If they could handle the Legion in the same way they handled X-Men on film then I think it would be a GREAT concept. But if it was a spoof (ike the live Justice League film that you can only get at conventions) or a campy teen movie then I would have to pass.
Ah, but are we talking the original Legion with all of the idealistic characters? Stories with very little darkness or hero angst? Or some of the more recent incarnations of the Legion where everyone got cynical? I miss the old Legion (and I am showing my age here) where Superboy showed up every now and then and all of the good guys really were good guys.

I can't top fish's answer. I agree, I have more old issues of S/LSH than any other title.
Issue #231 is still my favorite comic, EVER.
The biggest problem w/ a Legion of Superheroe's movie, is that there are too many members. You have to introduce characters for people to care, and there are way too many for a movie. And if you cut it down (say to the origin w/ the first three) lots of people's favorites would be left out.
I think a TV cartoon series would work. I'd like to see good writing, not like what they have now.

A movie would be interesting, but for now we'll have to settle for Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes cartoon when the new CW (the combining of the WB and UPN) Saturday morning line-up starts in September.

As glorious as that would be, the above answers are correct. There are just too many of those little boogers. Although, seeing Mordru or the Fatal Five on the silver screen would make up for the lack of Tenzil in said movie. Earth War? Yay!

I would love to see it made, starting with Edition 1, which I owned as a kid. It would be an awesome movie.Probably be the first movie I would watch on opening day.

I think it would work better as a TV cartoon series, not a horrible movie version like the X-Men.
And only if the same people who did Justice League Unlimited were there to work on it, then I would definitely watch.

Great idea! I think you'd have to limit it to the original three, Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy, to keep it from being too confusing to people who were not fans from way back. Show the beginning of it with R.J. Brande, and they would seem like 'Charlie's Angels 2965'...!
