it should be someone who is genuinely happy and contented with his/her professional or vocational career and in his/her family or personal life. Money and/or fame can be an element there, but without the significant people to love and to love him/her back, life would still be empty. So, in all aspects of a persons life, he/she should be happy, at peace with ones self, and contented.

A successful person lives their life fully. They love and are loved and they work hard and enjoy down time pursuing their interests. A successful person is kind and caring and does not give into evil. They live their life knowing if it were taken away at any time they lived the way they would have wanted without regrets. They know that the world is a better place because they are in it. A successful person knows life is about happiness and service and not measured by how much money and materials are amassed. A successful person has no problem congratulating others on their achievements and being happy for others success. They are truly happy for others. A successful person also is willing to help those in need, because they know all of us need help in one way or another. A successful person volunteers to make life better for others. A successful person is quietly confident and always listens and learns from each person they come in contact with. A successful person will also be happy to give advice and guidance in their areas of expertise. They give the gift of time and energy when called upon in times of trouble. A successful person is an unsung hero is so many ways yet they never see themselves that way.

SUCCESS:
A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.
STYLE:
Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.
Women somehow deteriorate during the night.
MONEY MANAGEMENT:
A man is a person who will pay two dollars for a one dollar item he wants.
A woman will pay one dollar for a two dollar item that she doesn't want.
HAPPINESS:
To be happy with a man you must understand him a lot and love him a little.
To be happy with a woman you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.
MARRIAGE EXPECTATIONS:
A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change and she does.
MARRIAGE DECISIONS:
Men marry because they are tired.
Women marry because they are curious.
Both are disappointed.
MARRIAGE AND THE FUTURE:
A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband,
A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.
MEMORIES:
A woman will always cherish the memory of the man who wanted to marry her.
A man cherishes the memory of the woman who he didn't marry.
UNDERSTANDING WOMEN:
There are two times when a man doesn't understand a woman - before marriage and after marriage.
WHAT A WOMAN WANTS:
Only two things are necessary to keep one's wife happy...
- One is to let her think she is having her own way.
- The other is to let her have it.
LONGEVITY:
Married men live longer than single men, but married men are a lot more willing to die.
MISTAKES:
Any married man should forget his mistakes - no use two people remembering the same thing.
THE BATTLE:
A woman always has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

A successful person is someone who makes enough money to survive, and is happy with their life both professionally and personally.
Really, it's not about how much money you make, because you can be the richest man on earth and be a complete failure if you're ready to slit your own throat over your personal unhappiness. To be a true success, you need to succeed in all aspects of life, not just your career.

The answer depends on how you define "success". And also, the same person who is considered a success by one might be considered as a failure by another. If I'm allowed to think only within the room of personal judgement, I'd say that it's only about being at peace, being happy and being content with one's self.

A truly happy person. To me being successful only comes after you're comfortable in your own skin, you love yourself and what you've accomplished no matter what.

A person who knows what he or she wants, knows how to get it, has achieved the goals and dreams that were the driving force of their life.
Then, if a person is content to be content, grateful when happy, and knows how to pass thru bad times without changing their attitude towards life, they are sucessful
as it is not just a measure of ones bank balance, or credit ratings,
Also, a sucessful person may have wealth and riches, and yet be down to earth, cares for things outside himseslf, and is not too arrogant about his self, would not mind getting down and dirty with regular people,
and most of all, when a person completes his life, has many people who love and respect him or her, and when he passes, he contributed to his life and others, and all the achievements he experienced will be gladly passed on to others, so a sucessful person did what he or she wanted, did it with love, and kindness, and few regrets,
and very pleased with what they have become.

We normally think of success as a "worldly" measure. So; family, children, spouse, money, career, home, car, boat, vacations, etc. are used.
But, more men (women have always seen this) are becoming aware of measures of an "emotional" realm to measure our success. So; happiness, love, our families' success, honor, character, meaning of life, beliefs, etc are being used.
Only you can measure your own life. Why not live a "great life"? Use your own measures and do exactly what you appreciate and honor.
Cheers
