sounds like a calcium or lime build up. Get some CLR and that will help!

Sounds like lime build up. Hard water does this. Try buying some kind of delimer (CLR. Lime-away, etc.) and pour it over the spigot, brush and rinse a few times.

BE CAREFUL!!! This stuff is caustic. It can burn your skin and eyes.

Yup, that's lime deposit. A brush (Wire brushes work best) and pretty much any kind of acid can clean this up. There are a lot of household cleaners, or you can use soda, vinegar, tabasco sauce, lemon juice, etc.

shut the water off in the house get a vise grip and work it back and forth for awhile and hopefully it breaks loose otherwise just go buy a new one

Paint it with white vinegar, keep it soaked..the lime will dissolve and you will be able to turn it soon enough.

pour some coca cola on it. and then let it soak. wrap a coke soaked rag around it. then brush off the residue. wd 40 will work also. dont force it.

it's calcium deposits...use something to break it down... like lime away or vinegar.
