The technical word is called taxonomy in biological classification. You try to group up ideas,objects into categories. Then use a flowchart for each category. In a library. Books are organized into different sections. These sections have subdivisions. The Periodic Table has The Alkali Earth Metals in column 1A,The Alkaline Earth metals in column 2A. The Transition Metals in the centre. The semi metals to the right of the Transition Metals. The Halogens right next to that. Then the Noble Elements. For your personal social life. You group The people into groups; Family & Ralatives,friends,teachers,Authors,Celebrities,Inventors & Scientists,Artisits,musicians,husband or wife,enemies,Branches of the Government etc.

Umm, what sort of different things? Pretty much any different things will have several differences to list, each of which is a difference that has different things differing about them. You might want to scale this back to the order of one or less single topics, such as your favorite type of bread, or something.
