The Kresge comany was around a long time ago they were very simialr to the woolwoth store. The K stands for Kresge. I may not have spelled it right.

it stands for Kart Mart ... i know this because i worked there for about 3 years it was actually called Kart Mart when it was first opened. So i hope this helps your answer !

it stands for the five and dime store called Kresge's(sp) , that store was similar to Woolworth's. K- mart corp bought out Kresge's and i think Woolworth's just faded away. Kegs was cool they had a soda fountain, i loved getting a milkshake form them.
