Hi!
Aww... Good things can come from this. You may have a lower self esteem,
but you know what?
You aren't a stuck up close-minded snob like anyone else that treats you that way. Are you? If you don't treat them badly, there is no justification for their actions.
I don't know that anyone has made fun of me (to my face) when I dress gothish or for me being into art, but I've defiantly been ignored before. I've been ignored by other so-called goths too, or maybe they are just afraid to talk to me 'cause I'm so quiet? I'll never know I guess...
People sometimes don't like people who are different. I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about from other answers you get here anyway.
And it seems a lot of people think artistic/dark people are just crazy/over emotional and then of course they hear the rumors 'they cut themselves or worship the devil' or maybe 'they do drugs' I don't know...
I've been saddened by some comments I’ve gotten from my questions on here. Often people tend to assume things that aren’t true about someone. And there are a lot of times I feel like no-one understands me and no-one really cares. I don’t know how close my feelings are to hitting reality.
Just keeping being you. Everyone is different and everyone has at least a slightly different reason for being who they are and disliking who they dislike. You'll never figure anyone out entirely so don't worry about it.
BTW, you can be one of my ‘Yahoo! Answers Friends’. lol, I wish you could add people to a special yahoo! answ. friends list. ;)
Have a good night/life

While I was reading your question, you reminded me Natalie Portman in the movie The Professional. She was still young then, and a little Goth-like. You guys are being bullied because you are weird people who refuse to go along with the bandwagon of what is hip and popular. You look different. You stand out in a crowd. And there's not many of you, so you guys gets frowned upon. It's culture and you can't do anything about it. If you don't want to get harassed anymore, I suggest that you do what other kids your age are doing, and dress normally.

kids that age are so mean, they always have been and probably always will be. they have low self esteem and are trying to make themselves feel better by making fun of kids not in their group. middle school is a tough time, but stick it out, it's so worth it in the end. and no matter your preference on style, you sound like a very smart girl and i'm sure you will go somewhere in your life. try not to worry about what others think of you, and who cares that they want to try and embarass you and your friends. tell a counselor at school, that is harrassment, ya know. stay true to you and your beliefs, never let anyone push you down. high school is much cooler anyway, tell them junior high kids to grow up already. good luck with this and i hope i helped.

Oh everybody can tell you different reasons to why it is that way ,but you have to some how find out the answer for yourself to really get it.But i will tell you my opinion cuz I'm pretty opinionated :) Anyways, don't take what others say about you in 7th grade through the end of high school seriously because most of them are still trying to find themselves let alone define someone else for who they really are instead of what they appear to be.Second, most of them are so jealous that you are so different and can express it whit out being embarrassed or trying to be like everyone else, eerie as it seems they actually wish and want to be free, expressive ,and comfortable with themselves as you and your friends are with yourselves.I hope that made sence.

it sounds like you've made your choice. you can conform and fit in, or be different and be left out. you have chosen to be different.
bad news: this is never going to change. learn to live with it.
good news: by the time you get to college no one will care.

They are afraid to be different, while you are not. They will take their anger at themselves out on you.

it is because you are different. People seem to think we all need to be the same, which is stupid.
