I think the Bush family just wants to blow up all other countries so that we will be number one. Both him and his retarded father decided that sending people to get killed in Iraq for no apparant reason was a good idea

Of course we did. Iraq did not attack the towers. Are people still thinking this ignorant stuff? How brainwashed and ignorant are these people and how did they find their computers to reveal their ignorance to us?

Of course, Bush did all he could to make people think Iraq was being attacked because of 9/11. As to other false pretenses, We already know that bush kicked out the weapons inspectors because they were finding no weapons. We already know that bush's people said they would fix the data around their desired outcome. We already know that bush knew before the war started that the uranium tubes story was a lie.

During the clinton administration, the Project for a New American Century were urging clinton to invade iraq. They came to power themelves under bush and just did it. Remember the same folks said we needed a "pearl harbor' in America to get their agenda going...

Just stare at a map of Iraq/Iran/Afghanistan and you get some sense of the real reasons for this war.

"no the towers really got hit and collapsed"

Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 why didn't we invade Saudia Arabia they had the most hijackers....o yes oil cut off bad.

I feel that the war in Iraq had little to no grounds for being invaded. We now see that the U.N was right Iraq did only have those one missiles that weren't allowed by the U.N, and they were destroyed before the invasion by the Iraqis. We did remove the oppressive government but we also sank the entire country into a civil war, which is what it is because Iraqi's are killing Iraqi's. None of the intelligence proved to be right and many people were trying to get this across before the war but no one listened. Iraq proved no threat except that there was a long running hatred from Cheney, Rumsfield, and Bush, though Bush was more on the level of "THEY TRIED TO KILL MY DADDY!!!"

"Saddam had used WMDs on his own people. BTW, we have found some WMDs in Iraq but it doesn't get alot of news. "

Actually the gassing is still under some debate as to whether he actually did it. refer to source. Much of the WMDs found turned out to be not so WMDish. Such as the abandoned trucks found in the desert, turned out to be water testing trucks. The artillery shells found hollowed out held no actual evidence of ever containing WMDs. Its actually suprising much of this makes the news as " WMDS found" but when refuted it never makes the news.

Rather than false pretenses I would say mistaken pretenses. I am not a Bush supporter, but I do think that he and his advisors had an honest belief that Sadaam was a direct threat to the United States. Because of this they relied on poor intelligence and stretched some intelligence to justify going to war. I don't think they intended to deceive the American people like many claim, but they certainly made a mistake because the only weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq are the ones we already knew were there

Not just YES, but HELL YES!!!! Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 - Georgey Boy just used it as an excuse to get Saddam Hussein. On his first day in office he told insiders that he was going to remove Hussein because he had put out a contract on Daddy at the time of the first Gulf War....so he hid behind 9/11. Then, to really make it look good, they came up with the phony weapons of mass destruction nonsense. Where are they Georgey Boy? How many children will never know their fathers because of your unjustified war you moron? How many innocent people have died for your vanity and pride you fool? We have no business being there today - we had no business being there 3 years ago and we'll have no business being there 10 years from now, but probably will be, all thanks to the fool who's president now.

Yes, but what does it matter why we went there years ago.

What matters at this point is whether it is a good idea to stay, based on what can be gained, either for Iraq or for the US, versus what the cost to the US is in lives and resources.

A smart businessperson doesn't just stick with a plan because of decisions they made year ago. They re-evaluate the situation as new information comes in. So, it's time for the US to re-evaluate the decision on whether to stay, and if so whether to reduce force deployment or not, based on where we are now and what we want to accomplish from here forward.

We can learn from the past. But it doesn't help if we don't act in the present.

"No the towers really got hit and collapsed" , response seems as brain washed as many others! Lost in the propaganda!

For the towers, America Bombed and invaded Afghanistan.

America never mentioned Iraq and the Towers until we failed to find WMD in Iraq!

America ignored the UN and NATO and went in with England against Iraq. Since then, many others have joined the Iraqi's, even as Americans joined England Air Force against the Nazis before America declared war against Germany.

Now, we call Iraqis, fighting in their country, a foreign power that invaded their land, Insurgents?

Yes I do. We were told there were weapons of mass destruction there and that we would get them. That didn't happen. We were told Iraq supported al qaida and it turns out they didn't. Al qaida is in Iraq now though, way to go guys! We are on our way to creating an extremist, terrorist nation, how incredibly un-American. It turns out attacking Iraq for the world trade center bombings is like attacking Mexico for Pearl Harbor.

While we were busy chasing phantom nukes in Iraq, they were building real ones next door. We need to take out their nuclear capability before its' too late.

If you think our civil liberties are under attack now, just think what it will be like when Iran becomes nuclear. If our government fears that were one email, one lead-lined cargo ship, one airplane away from a nuclear detonation on continental US soil, you can kiss our civil liberties goodbye.
